Cup and Saucer
The saucer measures 5-1/2” i diameter. It has a slightly scalloped edge, trimmed with gold. There is a 1/4” shite band, There is a fine gold band then a 1-3/4” wide band of mint green with overlaid painted large roses in colours of white, and pink as well as yellow flower with green foliage. This is followed by another fine gold band and a white centre.
The back of the saucer is white. Back stamped with double coat of arms. One for HM the Queen, and the other HM Queen Mary. This stamp was used between 1939-1949
The footed cup measures 3-3/4” in diameter at the rim and 1-3/4” at the foot. The exterior of the cup is white with a fine gold band encircling the centre and the foot. The slightly scalloped rim is also gold trimmed. The handle has gold highlights. The interior of the cup has a 1/4” white band around the rim with a 1-3/4” mint green band bordered with fine gold bands. Ther are large pink and yellow roses painted on this along with yellow flowers and green foliage. The centre of the cup is white. Same back stamp as the saucer.
This cup and saucer is in very good condition. No chips, cracks or crazing.
