This carving is of an Inukshuk.
Inukshuks are structures of stones stacked usually in the form of a human, traditionally used by the Eskimo/Inuit people as a landmark or as a commemorative sign. It is omni-present in the Inuit tradition.
This sculpture stands 5” high and is approximately 3-1/4” wide and 1” deep across the base.
This item is in excellent condition. It comes from a shop that has closed due to retirement.
It weighs 1 pound 2 ounces.
